A Baby Step...
A couple of days ago I hopped up on my Soapbox. All up it’s been quite some week. Tonight I have worked to a ridiculous hour (and if that wasn’t the milkman I just heard then I’m officially freaked out) but the weekend is now clear for ME (ok, and three birthday parties, a swimming lesson and a gymnastics competition where I will knit for four or so hours). I was just about to shut down my computer when I saw this. Just go and take a look. I have a beaming grin from ear to ear. It feels like a bit of a win. Happy weekend.

Great link Tania - totally gorgeous. Don't you just feel happy after looking at that? Even though I avoid all fashion magazines and comparing with models/TV people, the dissatisfaction still seeps in... and a picture like this really lifts my spirits. Thanks.
I beleive also baby steps are being taken...we are hopefully going to see some changes...Old painting always had amizing curvy ladies on them soo ...Have a nice weekend!

I loved your soapbox moment. I love that the internet connects like-minded women and that it can be a vehicle for change. Cause I think change is coming. Maybe not in school yards just yet but your link just goes to show that the tide is turning. It's one thing for us to battle through the pressures of body image but we will not stand to see our daughters subjected to it. So change is in the air... like the first warm breeze of spring.

No, no, don't go crawling into any boxes. The globe idea is great. I was thinking of something that could maybe hang in sunlight to catch natural light as well.
