This week it’s all about the eyebags. I’m squarely placing the blame on Gemma. Nothing to do with my own self sticking up my hand to be part of her irresistible Loz and Dinny Challenge (have a go at winning her birthday giveaway by doing something crafty with that there trimming above – she makes you sweat, this lady).
Nothing to do with the spontaneous whim to make something for which I have no pattern...

...and then enjoying things too much to go to bed until the wee small hours. Nooooo.

Last night two lovely ladies questioned my possible adrenaline junkie tendencies. Funny how you sit up a bit more when someone who doesn’t see you every day objectively points something out like that. I hereby pledge to be calmly in bed by Cinderella hour tonight.
A Small Confession: After intense (sort of) negotiation with Mrs Smith over who got to do the lampshade, I should report that I have guiltily reneged. Lampshade way too scary.
Pop on over to see some chipper Creatives Spaces via the wide awake Kirsty (she’s probably already run ten kilometres today).

I saw that trim challenge ... and it scarred me ... I look forward to seeing what you bravely do with it!
The challenge sounds interesting...Good Luck girly!!!
Can't wait to see what you do with the trim. I say get out the cold teabags for the eyes and craft til you drop!
I'm super loving this challenge of Gemma's. Absolutely LOVE how much you sign yourself up for...you're ace!
yep, you're one crazy lady! In a totally good crazy way, not a psycho crazy kind of way....oh, you know what I mean! I simply can not function without at least 8 hours sleep every night and 2 strong coffees in the morning!! Hats off to you lady!

I'll bet you 20 to 1 that you aren't in bed by the witching hour... (or Cinderella if you prefer).
I may be wrong of course.

your images are so creative themselves~relish your space
lampshade = difficult
Good luck Mrs Smith!!
Like last week, I love the pics of your scraps and rubbish.
Oh OK ... so I'm the bad guy, huh? Cut some slices of cucumber for those eyes and lather your face with some natural greek yoghurt and let those creative juices flow beneath the marinade ... can't wait to see the goods (PS and I'm sorry for being such a crafting challenge temptress hussy type)
It sounds like a great challenge and in a lot of ways I am very sorry I missed it!! Can't wait to see what comes from it!
Sleep....whats that!!! do we really NEED it or is it that we just WANT it!! lol x
Good luck with the challenge, sounds like fun. Who needs sleep?
Yes, what Michelle said! :D
Good luck with the challenge. I empathise with the eyebags, I'm much more of a night owl, busy doing while others are sleeping, and then wondering why I struggle out of bed in the morning!
I am thinking of joining the challenge but I have so much on my plate lol... what's with the newspaper or did I miss something in your post??
xo Steph
Hells bells, that's an end to my farnarkling over this challenge then. Lampshade it is - let's hope I can come up with the goods.

Ohhhhh you won my custom brooch ... I will make you any shape and pick a colour and words (or plain if you don't want words!) ... email me on mantahay@yahoo.com.au or just blog me
Sheesh! Some of you crafty folk never cease to amaze me. I'm an in bed by 9.30 and up early kind of person, but there seems to be many that are up sewing stitches past the pumpkin hour.
Oh crap! I still haven't thought of anything to make with that trim yet.
I'd bet my 'creative allowance' that the lights will be on, knitting needles, glue gun, thread, sewing machine, graphite pencils and all other manner of creative armoury will be in use until Cindy loses her shoe..and them some.. It's when i do my best thinking and creating. Peta
Sleep's boring - that's what my husband says all the time. He's right...but we soooooo need it. Good luck with the challenge.
That challenge would make me sweat too ;)Hope you manage to get some sleep too!;)
I'm way to grumpy if I'm not in bed, lights out, by 10pm. . . especially since The Little One has been starting that day at 4:50am this week. Yawn.
good luck with the challenge and the quest for sleep, i'm off to get me some of that action
I chickened out of that challenge .Mind you , it's just occured to me that I could have used a bit to fashion a mutant chicken . But at least I'll get some sleep tonight !
Good luck with the not-a-lampshade .
Should be sleep time is the only time you can get uninteruppted. Sigh.
If only there were another couple of hours in the evening to craft and also get enough sleep.
From another crazy not enough sleep crafter....
I'm intrigued by the challenge - shall have to go looksee!
oh - adrenaline - where would we be without it? hee :)
it sounds like you are having fun with the challenge and the images are lovely - especially the little bundle of fabric scraps - love that in contrast to the scrunched up paper!
{thanks for your comment too}
It will be great to see what everyone does with that trim... how is it that even your crumpled up newspaper and balls of fabric off cuts look great on your blog Ms Tania? You really do have a great eye for pretty pictures. Sorry for making you feel clucky... I would say something unclucky like, think about late night feeds, but it seems you're a bit of a night owl as it is... :))
The trouble is that all the things you put your hand up for and all the creative things you working on, are fun fun fun. It's just such a bloody shame that we need sleep... or maybe just that we can't function so well and look so awful without it!
Can't wait to see what magic you create with your trim.
Can't wait to see what you will be doing with this challenge. It sounds like a lot of fun. (And I hope for you you got a bit more sleep last night :-))
I can remember those days (and nights)! It seems I'm too worn out now!! Can't wait to see what you're doing. p.s. your hubby's sculptures are just fantastic-I can see why you'll miss them!
I actually thought you were MAKING eye bags - but then realised they're probably not called that - not that I can remember what they actually are called... those lavender things you put on your eyes, which would, by the way, cover any actual eyebags quite successfully, but I guess you couldn't see much either... yeah, I need more sleep too...
