The State of Things

This morning there wasn’t a clean pair of undies/pants/knickers/jocks in this house for anyone. We all have to wear our bathers/togs/swimming costumes. Which is ok for the two year old and me, since this morning we have a date with a swimming pool. Though I’m not sure what happens once we’re out of the water.

Should anyone need me today, you’ll find in the laundry.

hmm, I understand this situation

my answer is to simply buy MORE undies, & yet we still have the same problem!

toilet training our smallest isn't helping the situation!!!

good luck with the washing, but remember it is going to rain this arvo...

That's how you know it is Friday - throw away that calendar.

Too Funny! Also on a washing mission! Currently crossing fingers and toes that it doesn't rain on the Doona cover that is hanging on the line!
As for no undies..commando?Had to do that after swimming yesterday as I forgot my undies!
Happy Washing Tarn

As long as the bathers weren't on the head and the goggles on the bum I would consider that a victory

So now you have left me with the image of you doing the laundry without any underpants on.... thanks for that!

Feeling better that we aren't the only house who NEVER EVER has enough undies!!

Back in my back packing days..."someone" has been known to 'flip' the knicker and put em on again if no sink/laundry/running water availed itself to me for the required wash. Hmmm, nice.... and as long as you all keep wearing goggles perhaps no questions will be asked? Peta xo

I also like derps/smalls/gruds/grundies ... so many names so few clean ones when you need them.

Your family is beautiful - 'gobbles' (as my wee lass calls goggles) and all.

At least you've got your priorities right... getting the family to line up for an artistic goggle shot instead of doing the washing!! I guess the other option was a picture of your pile of dirty undies, but Myrtle and Eunice would definitely NOT have approved of that one.

That is hilarious.
Who said it wasn't a good idea to get a new stock of socks and undies each birthday/christmas/significant anniversary?

Thanks for this! I'm so relieved there's another mum like me around!
Happy laundering your way through all those undies!
I constantly ask myself why we have warderobes as we nearly always live off piles of clean laundry that no one has bothered to tidy away (who me?). every morning as I rummage through them in search for a matching pair of socks or three I curse myself for not being a better housewife...

Laughed till my undies needed changing and luckily there were pairs to spare! I'm thinking that you shouldn't abandon your knitting now the warmer weather has arrived - knitted smalls for the Myrtle & Eunices. You do have a beautiful quilt square and that makes all the difference. Lisa.

Thanks for this! I was feeling guilty about sending my son to school in shorts I dug out of the dirty clothes pile. At least I'm not alone...

You couldn't knit everyone a pair of knickers on the way to school this morning at traffic light stops ?

Wear all of the laundry to swim and it will all be clean...

Sounds like our house. We also live out of the washing baskets, never get round to wardrobe deliveries. Well really, domestic duties are mundane.

I really enjoy reading your posts.. so funny!
