Um yeah. I had the same moment this morning but instead of butter spreading found my almost two year old decorating a toile covered antique children's couch in BLACK TEXTA!!!! Much scrubbing ensued ...
BTW my heart almost stopped just looking at that amount of butter!
We had a similar incident on Wednesday morning - except the 3 year old blamed the 14 year old (who was well an truly at school by then). Did your butter come with a side order of BS too?
Tarn, That gave me a good laugh! What is it about butter? Charlotte will actually run off with it (sneaking it away) to eat! Shocking!! Maybe you could mince some garlic with the butter next time and give her a sliced baguette (Voila, Garlic Bread!) Love it! Jen x
Singlehandedly keeping the Australian dairy industry going , I see . She obviously thinks we should EAT our way out of the credit crisis .Quite right .
Oh the fear that 'that level of quiet" can instill, last time I found 'artwork'- crayon on white wall being the medium of choice. I hope your'e planning on a mega bowl of porridge washed down with a nice glass of psyllium husks to help absorb (and send on out the other end) some of that cholesterol! Peta
I totally agree with your soapbox. It is a scary world that girls are growing up in. It is so great though to hear that you are so passionate about providing a positive environment and that you care enough to be furious.
Yummy Scrum - and after you've munched on your bread you'll have enough butter spare to grease yourself up for a channel crossing ... if it is the wee one that is always trying to cross bass strait there may be real cause for concern if it goes really, really, really quiet man.
Oh. my. that's quite a dollop of butter. The other day I was making cookies. I turned my back, and my little man started chowing down on the stick of butter. Uggh!
Mother of three, wife to one, designer and craftster of the slightly obsessive kind. Myrtle and Eunice were two lovely old ladies who connected weekly over the Scrabble tiles. These Saturday battles of will and skill were a ritual as comfy as a hot Milo and handknitted blanket on a frosty day.

mmmmm butter! Ha ha ha, very cute!!
I always like a little bit of bread with my butter too. At least it was on the bread and not the couch or in the hair or on a very happy and fat cat.
Would you like some bread with that butter??

So very helpful! The ironic thing is that once they are old enough to do it properly... they don't want to help any more.
I can feel my arteries hardening as I read!

At least the bread looked healthy

I hate those quiet moments. Wait...I have to see to my little one, he's unravelling yards of fabric around me....
Oh how funny... I so chuckled, ready for the surprise... and then you did really surprise me! :) K
*chuckle* last time I went to investigate such a quiet moment the little one was doing something similar with my entire lipstick collection....

I love it. I was wonding what to have for lunch today. That just might be the thing.
Ha, when I first saw the pic I thought she'd put ice-cream on it.
That's quite the butter fest.
Adele
Too cute!
HA! Excellent.
I'd eat that much butter over margarine any day though!
I slice butter off the block and eat it like cheese. (Shhh, don't tell anyone!)
We had an all to quiet moment like that recently. Sudocrem and a wool rug.
Oh. my. that's quite a dollop of butter.
