Strange that my Achilles heel – the thing that puts a stop to everything from the very first moment I spot the blur in my line of vision – is about as far from the foot as I could hope to get. These things are random and intense and prompt a spontaneous but definitive change of plan, no question. Caused by prolonged stress, holiday relaxation, a skipped breakfast, exposure to brightest sunlight, camera flashes, early morning exercise, my very own WEDDING and, (ahem) first anniversary, pregnancy, childbirth, JUST TALKING ABOUT THEM*, all or none of the above.
My apologies, but one of these is holding back that sandwich recipe/how to. Just saying, in the unlikely event that anyone, was like, holding their breath. Given the aftermath is more than a bit zombie and there’s some real life catch-up to do, lunch will be served sometime next week. Promise.
* So please, let’s not talk about ’em. For any of you nice commenty types, how about we talk weather, or something?
PS. Those are not my feet.

Ack! My sympathies. Migraines suck.
Having said that, the weather is darn hot here in Adelaide starting a November heat wave.
errgghh, yours that we won't talk about sound just like mine that we won't talk about.
Weather here is warm to hot. I dyed fabric today and got a hole in one glove....I have a totally black hand - its kind of cool....
I am with you - I feel your pain. Spent last weekend in hospital because of that very same thing that we will not talk about! Hope you feel better soon.
Rita

It was raining cats and dogs until I decided to tell you so hence my comment that stress of the nasty kind is meant to be avoided because it is bad for your health. Cherrie
Yep, it's raining and icky here, and I happen to have one of the things we shall not mention. And I'm on call tonight, so we shall see how I feel in the morning. :O) Hope you feel better soon!
I won't talk about any of those things.

Ouch! Sending you happy, healthy thoughts so you heal - especially Achillies heel :)
Take care,
Abbe
Hmm I seem to have the same achilles heel so I will think distraction for you, it works for me.
How's the crocheting going?
Wasn't it the most beautiful day.
Poor you, hope all is better tomorrow dearie. Thanks for clearing up the foot/bandaid photo issue. You're good like that. Sleep tight xo
Sorry to hear it - I have had migraines since I was a small child - had to be on daily meds for them as a child. I am always hoping my children do not develop them....
I am visiting Mobile, Alabama and the weather is breezy and cool this morning!

Delurking to say - hello! Love your blog. I really enjoy seeing all the fun things you make.
Weather in Scotland is 9C and grey.
I'm currently (sort of) blogless, but I really want to join in with all the cool kids, so I'm working on it.
I always tell people not to hold their breath for my stuff too. It really would cause a lot of blue faces.
Cheers,
AJ
what cute photo
try to enjoy your weekend and I hope you feel better soon
Well this cheered me up! Women can't help themselves and even when told not to mention something we just have to slip it in somewhere. I love those little feet and the not so smiley band aid is divine. This granny needs to find a packet of those.
Yay for me, I'm your 200th follower! Couldn't upload a picture unfortunately. On other matters of distraction, do you follow the A.F.L.? Did you see how unceremoniously Brisbane dumped Daniel Bradshaw? The weather in Brisbane is gorgeous today. 26 degrees, the odd fluffy cloud and a lovely breeze.
ouch. hope the weather is calming, a little drizzly, cool, not too muchy-muchy of anything much. Just get-well weather.
Delightful weather in my neck of the woods this past weekend. Lots of washing done and lots of gardening too...
Hope you're on the up & up by now.
thankfully, I haven't had one of the damn things for a few years now. I used to get the watermark ripple in one eye about an hour before onset.
When the ripple came, I used to get the high-powered drugs, head into the bedroom and close the curtains. Say bye bye to the rest of the day.
But, I had an emergency room doc give me a totally different solution which was far less debilitating. Apparently anti-nausea tablets enable the stomach to absorb aspirin and paracetamol at a much faster rate.
So, he said take one anti nausea tablet, four aspirin and four paracetamol and go to bed. Worked like a charm and much less devastating for the innards and the rest of the day.
Oh, and mum reckons stay clear of bananas when you think one may be looming.
I totally get the 'just talking about them'... So horrible... Summer is the worst. I get them from sudden changes in temperature... aircon to 39C outside... This week should be fun... 39 here all week :(
Take care x
I read that all wrong. I thought you were trying to say you had a bun in the oven.
You weren't.
Were you????
Oh no...Not sure why women have to put up with horrible things like that?Wish you better soon Tania xx
As a regular of the Migraine club...I say head straight for the Mersyndol, shut the curtains, Advise the Mr the you have a date with the back of your eyelids....and sleeeeeeeeeeeeep it away. Peta
Oooh, poor you, hope you feel better very, very soon, love Penny x
What sort of excuse is that for your homework being late! I am on to you Miss M+E
