Aside from the odd occasion when it’s wrangled into the wash, it’s worn day...

...night...

...while standing on head...

It dawned on me, after a few queries from school Mums, that I could be on to an uncharacteristically efficient winner. With Christmas and a kazillion birthdays looming, I’m thinking crafted with love but SPEEDY little pressies, disappointed head lice, dots, florals, (small pattern repeats) and a new take on the non-obligatory school uniform.

PS. You can whip ’em up in no time flat. It’s just an isosceles (I can’t believe I remembered that) triangle with a seam along each edge and a ribbon detail (or whatnot). The finished size of the one in the pics is 83cm x 58cm x 58cm.
PPS. Pop over to Kirsty’s to see what everyone else is doing about that six weeks and counting ’til Christmas thing...

Fabulous idea!! Nothing like fast handmade gifts I say. And despite being tired of seeing it, it must be lovely to know she adores something you made for her. Thanks for your comments too - yes, I am addicted to Japanese crafting now, and the patterns aren't too hard to work out...yet.
That is too sweet. And a time saver it seems! Bonus.
I Think you onto a winner there.
Gorgeous! I'm thrilled with anything that keeps the nits at bay. xx
Great scarf and such an angelic sleeping model - sure doesn't look like she'd have an opinion!!! I made one for my little one last year to go with a dress I made from a pillowcase and she too wears it constantly! x
Ticks all the boxes...
Happy child = happy mother
So cute, and perfect for gifting!
It is a fabulous idea Tania. I've been pulling out my head scarf stash lately as I'm growing the black out of my hair and those blond roots with black tips are NOT attractive! ;) I'm all inspired now to make myself some new ones! Thank you :) K
p.s. LOVE those photos - what a gorgeous child.
Well, that was a great rate of return for a small investment. 8 weeks of happy child for a few minutes of your time! That fabric pile is so sweet (pop the blue and red floral in the post to me, will you sweetie?) My 2 and 1/2 year old gal has deemed her head a no go zone at the moment but I will keep thos for future reference. One day she will be 8 too.
Oh, look at the big brain on Tania! "Isosceles" indeed! ;)
Very cute, and sounds very quick & easy.
PS Have fun at Spotlight... ;)
What a smart girl, charming her way into a finished project :)
It's gorgeous Tania. And points to your girl for working out how to navigate her mumma!
Very cute. And don't you just love opinionated children? It's starting here already too. Oh my! :-)
Total winner! Love the photo's too. All your other projects are winners too, just not as quick! :)
You're such a smart girl. Pythagoras would be damn proud!
Gorgeous idea my dear...
xoxo andrea
Thanks for this winner of an idea! Loving the anti nit factor and the sweetness of it too. That photo of your scarf wearer snoozing is so lovely. What a great girl you have there! xo ps. I hope my angus moment wasn't taken the wrong way the oher day, it really was an accident!
Oh how lovely. I often have day dreams about what I am making for my little ones hoping they would love it as much as your miss 8 loves this head scarf.
Your daughter is a crack up! Guess you can be sure she likes it x
Sounds like you're on a winner! I suppose it shows some truth to the saying that often the simplest things in life are the best (... do I have that saying right?)
Cute. That's kids for you. I always used to put the presents to one side and play with the large cardboard boxes. You can never tell what will be hit or miss :)
Great idea and cute pics!
Anything anti-headlouse would be a winner ! But this is pretty too !
Still , she obviously needs three . One on , one off and one in the wash .
Who knew an isosceles triangle could have so much potential!!
I am impressed by the use of the word isosceles lovey. but is that the one with all sides the same???
My Stella could use a whole stack of them on the days that we both want a break from combing the unruly curls!
i dream about making my girl something she will wear everyday like that..you got lucky !!! but i just keep trying! cuz you never know when you'll hit the jackpot.
