A weekend with a bit of that.
A lot of this:

None of this (kid in denial):

A whole load of this:

Then this:

Before back to this:

Finally, four hours of this:

Accompanied by this:

(which is really just knitted Mum-of-gymnast code for calm and collected on the outside, fingers and toes tightly crossed, DON’T FALL OFF! DON’T FALL OFF! on the inside).

great pics!! Love those silver knitting needles! :)
That seems like a nice balanced weekend. Ooh, sorry bad pun, not intended!
You even manage to make the rain look pretty.
Cheers,
AJ
We've had some duck weather ourselves this weekend, alternating with weather only suited for tropical lizards or some such creature suited for boiling hot, sticky air.
Sounds like a wonderful weekend despite the ducky kind of weather. And, we have a little one in denial over here too. "I no take a nap!" He says shortly before conking out.
Blue is her colour! She looks lovely Tam, hope all went well at the comp!
Is it just me, or does that knitting look suspiciously like a boyfriend hat?;o (I think that emoticon looks like open-mouthed squinting).
wet ...artistic ... phots of life ..just a great series!
Your weekend looks wonderful!
As for the gym mother thing...I'm less about the "don't fall" & more about the "so bored". I only watch my gymnast. Everyone elses? I'm busy with the hook/needle/snooze. x
Great photo diary of the weekend. SOunds like my kind of weekend. Except for the bit where you had to get out of your PJs and leave the house.
Thank heavens for the sticks! We did still have rain this weekend but a LOT more sun than the last three weeks. Man what a difference a bit of sun makes!
(oh and btw Angus in Northcote that is so NOT another boyfriend hat. I'm pretty sure that's my Wurm. Isn't that right Tania?)
I love that saying. I wonder if ducks really do like pouring rain? I got a lot of knitting done this weekend too.
Beautiful pics. How did the gymnast go?
I love your weekend, except the no sleep part. So, did she stay on? xx

Who knew knitting had bling?
Given this weekend's weather, that bare feet-running water shot is surely you creating devilment in photoshop...?
surely...
I don't know that I could stand the suspense of a gymnastics comp. The anxiety would overwhelm me... how did it all go???
Mm, I'm as anxious at basketball, did my best knitting there the other night, and still managed to see her score her first goal! It's when I concentrate I stuff it up. Lovely nap shot- she sucks her thumb too? Only the best kids do....
My sister and I did dance as kids, chosen by my Mother. Perhaps this is why we didn't do gymnastics?
Also, perhaps it is my miserable sense of balance?
:)
I'd be on needles and pins as well.
Wonderful pics...Looks like I got all the sun in my part of the world..Sorry :)
Gorgeous shots. Looks like a lovely weekend. xo m.
A bit wet , was it ?
Your rain looks a lot prettier than mine , must be the way you photograph it .
I wish I'd thought to take knitting to all the endless swimming lessons ... perhaps I'd finally have managed a whole scarf !
I'm impressed you could knit. I get classic jittery hands at these events and end up eating too many blackcurrant and liquorice sweets which result in mouth ulcers.
No rain/ pavement art this time then?
You just made a rainy weekend looks great...that takes talent!!
Oh and I am no good at watching my kiddies on high-unsafe-unstable-narrow- kind of things my heart just feels like on a roller coaster!Did the gymnast had fun?
Four hours ... seriously? Argh! I have much to prepare myself for in the future.
Love your beautiful photos - I know they are very rainy, but look magic to me.
lovely photos. What a great recollection of your weekend.
Love the sleeping photo. I have so many of those in my camera too.
Beautiful little gymnasts. Hope the staying on spell worked well :-)
So is that the key to good tension?
Gorgeous photos T.
I've had enough of the rain too - we're supposed to be in the middle of having a roof replaced but they keep delaying. Grrr!!
Umm, I DON'T have a one track mind but I couldn't help but notice the arrangement of the yarn on your lap...... somehow it caught my attention! ;)
Love your photos Tania :) Kx
