This is me, not letting on to contortionist photography and hiding behind the hair frizz, because, frankly, I always feel entirely dork-ish on this, the wrong end of a camera lens.

This is the finished Honey Cowl I was trying to contortionist model.

It’s everything I knew it would be. Squidgy and neck-warming and go-with-anything and without the pesky scarf ends flapping about. I plan to wear it the rest of autumn and the whole of winter (apologies to those who see me daily).

All the nitpicking knitty details are right here.

Looks fab Tan x
Gorgeous, gorgeous--the cowl, and your hair, and you in general. I know it feels weird to be in front of the lens, but well worth it sometimes (to the rest of us, at least).
You don't look dorky! The cowl looks so warm & snuggly..I want one!
Oh my, I want my very own honey cowl asap! Its gorgeous, as are you with your curly locks. You don't look dorky at all. xx
GORGEOUS, model, positioning, knitting, fabulous work me lady. Forget the cowl, you have hair money just can't buy, to match your crafty skills. I tried to take a shot of my new hair cut last week, feel so silly looking at the camera, i settled on a 'come hither looking into the distance' shot which worked for minimising double chin-ness but composition was poor. Best of about 30 self imposed shots!! Oh it looks so gorgeous, love a good cowl, brrr, we need them here in Canberra. Love Posie
Absolutely beautiful! I feel much the same about the brown number I made recently. PERFECT.
I love it too and think I really should get knitting on one of these for myself asap. Probably won't have it finished for this winter though....! Your modelling is great too by the way :-)
Beautiful! And the cowl is lovely too!
It looks wonderful and so do you!
Oh yes it is indeed perfect!! And you look gorgeous modelling it :)
I too have curly unruly hair which I have a love hate relationship with.
ooh I really like that we need to start wearing those in Melb more lol its been freezing lately! I wonder if I could crochet something similar
looks great, you are quick on the sticks!
i think I will finish my cowl by the winter of 2015..
Love it. Especially that colour. Wow. You're at it again, making us on the other side of the world wish for winter!
Love it! Totally gorgeous!
Love this!
I made one recently, but it hasn't got enough slouchy-ness to it. Will try again!
it's gorgeous and so are you! xo
beautiful tania! so good to see your face, and curls ! love the cowl, going now to read the dirt on it. x
It looks like just the thing to reach for every morning and night. Enjoy.
you did a beautiful job with the self portraits and modelling. love the cowl too ~ am still unsettled about this year's scarf project . . .off to check this one out {the stitch looks gorgeous!}.
Hi! this looks fabby.... could you just tell me, did you do the short or longer version? I'd love to have a go at making one to keep my neck warm during the jolly cold weather we've been having lately.....
D :o)
Very classy, even with contortions. Want. :-)
It looks just perfect for the chilly intro to the winter months we have been having! It is a hard job being the model and photographer at once, you do it with class! have a great week, julie :)
Beautiful cowl and beautiful pics Tania! You look wonderful!
Loving those rich, golden Autumn leaves in the background, they are the perfect accompaniment to that deep grey knit :o)
GORGEOUS! (...and the cowl looks nice too...) ;)
I have the judgemental dog looking on (two condescending cats as well) but not the self-photographing talent that you seem to have. I am not sure that I "get" cowls. Up there with knitted food. But I might try one some time. Yours looks good, even if I don't get it lol.
Nice shot mrs! Love the cowl.
xx
Beautiful shots..especially the second pic..shows you and the cowl off to perfection and very prettily!
beautiful
you wanna see dorky - check your ravmail
After a morning of slithery silky scarf wrestling , I'm looking at cowls with increasing interest .....
Stunning! And the best colour ever!!
Oh Ms Myrtle, you look beautiful :-)
After attempting to self photograph my neck scarf I can only bow at your feet! I had to take a million because I was scrinchy and grim in every shot and even then I was only showing my chin! Love the coordinated tree.
It's really beautiful - and so are your photographs!
You've convinced me to have a go at making a cowl for myself...
A tumble of blonde ringlets over squidgey woolly loveliness doesn't look dorky. (Get a new dog if this one has a problem with it).
If this were mine, I'd wear it all autumn and winter too - love it. Jumbleberries x.
Oh, you are lovely!! And, the cowl is too...of course. :)
i totally get cowls and will definitely be making this one as well. you certainly make it look lovely, and i concur with all the rest, beautiful hair, cowl and leaves! gorgeous picture. i will be making both a long and a short i think in different colors. it looks like a pretty nice mindless knitting take-a-long project. thanks for sharing!
Just added it to my ever growing list of favs!
You're not dorky, you're too daggy for that. ♥ ♥ ♥
This is so gorgeous Tania, I'd be wearing it every single day too!
btw you look great on the other side of the camera..and gorgeous autumn backdrop there too..Have a fabulous weekend!
Looks gorgeous {as do you}. If I had one, I'd wear it all the time too... :]
Nice photos!
I only wish I did see you every day. I doubt I'd be teasing you about the constant cowl-wearing though - just begging you to make ME one. With a side of those fabulous curls of yours.
Very perty!!
Looks fab. I've been having all sorts of difficulties with flappy ends of scarves getting caught in things, and right there you've solved that problem.
Your hair is so beautiful. Seriously lovely.
That looks cosy, snug and very lovely.
You are gorgeous in a timeless way..Love those golden leaves in teh background you have an eye for beauty and your cowl is amazing as always :)

Well, you make one beautiful contortionist! Look at you, you are a goddess! Lovely photos, and I love the beautiful fall leaves in the background.
Completely gorgeous!! And happily nice and roomy to hide little sachets of herbs and garlic heads to ward off any more nasty lergies. x
oh, i see you! that's just lovely. you are a beauty and so is your cowl. ;)
so nice that the moss is (barely, but still) growing. i have been a bit blog absent and i am so enjoying catching up on yours.
You are beautiful...your hair looks the colour of the leaves...
