I kept it under my hat, when I posted on my first cross quilt, mostly because I couldn’t quite believe how uncharacteristically EFFICIENT and ON TIME and FORWARD THINKING, I was being.

This, the Plus (Another) One cot quilt, is a little different from the first +1 quilt and a gift for a new addition who hasn’t even arrived yet. In a while, I’m going to call my ridiculously-glamourous-while-ridiculously-pregnant friend, who is never at home and make wild assumptions if she doesn’t answer the phone. I shall keep these wild assumptions to myself and NOT try her mobile number, because I remember how wildly irritating it can be, when everyone is waiting for a baby and barracking from the sidelines.
My Small did her very, very best to glamourously model the Plus (Another) One quilt.

She was truly, very tenacious.

Before growing frustrated and demanding to know of her vertically-challenged mother, when she would grow TALL?

Her mother with the not-at-all-tall genes, lovingly, snugly, wrapped her not-that-tall-either child, (because ‘lovingly’, ‘snugly’, is what handcrafted quilts are best for) and gave her a giganormous hug.

Then we let the fence do the modelling.

That quilt almost makes me think it would be worth having another little person .....
WHAT!!!
Thank god, snapped back to reality now and the baby shop is still shut (as in permanently closed for business). Phew.
Love your work!
How are your sticky babies?
You are really a frigging freak. IT IS STUNNING!! and look at you go, you've gone all quilty xo
Word verification germos love it tho has no relation to your post
Love the yellow and grey combination.
Yes try to refrain from calling. I to remember how frustrating that time is - especially when you go 2 weeks over."no I'm still here..."
So beautiful. Love the sunny feel xx
The fence is not nearly as cute a model :-)
Beautiful work Tania
Wow. Just gorgeous Tania. This one is (another) winner, absolutely and positively :) Kx
I like the colours, I like the idea of the '+ 1', it is absolutely brilliant, you are such a talented woman!
Holy Moly that is one gorgeous quilt...and my favourite colour combo too :)
x
whoa Mrs... if you keep this up you're going to have us all feeling just a little bit inadequate in the creativity and productivity departments (and I'm starting a long way behind given I don't know one end of a quilting thingamy-jig from another...)
As for the frustrations of your ever obliging model, well, we all know tall is soooo overrated...
You're a quilting freak. I mean, superstar.
The small did a great job, and look at you go next you'll be crafting for the not yet conceived.
Beautiful quilt ! Small , tall all sounds the same to me . Your little one did a fantastic job .
Beautiful quilt, the yellow in it is just stunning! I'm all for yellow these days.
I love it!! When am I going to get a chance to make one of these let's see I have 3 quilts on the roster right now maybe #4?
you mean to tell me you made more than one of something??? ;)
looks awesome btw!
Bree
So pretty & I am astounded by your feat of organisation!
This quilt was made for wrapping..cute and cosy..great combo! I'm loving the colours too.
I love that quilt and admire anyone who has the patience to make one. M
How gorgeous I love the embroidered +1. My youngest wants a yellow, black and white quilt, so your color combination is pretty fabo seem I have just been concocting in my head the yellow black and white theme. How lucky for your friend to receive such a quilt.
it's stunning! love love the colour combo :)
Splendid! I have a folder on my computer called Quilty Dreams (for me to look at and imagine more hours in days), and pics of your latest gorgeousness went right in it.
Beautiful colours you have chosen and the embroidered +1 is just perfect. I am sure your friend will be so pleased with the quilt. xx
That is a beautiful quilt! Just wonderful:)
what a beautiful quilt and a beautiful post. xx
Do you have a table-handbag thingummy with a sewing machine on it that you carry around and quilt with as you walk down the street? Do you take your sewing machine to the shops and quilt whilst you're buying spuds? Do you quilt in your sleep? Otherwise I cannot account for the sheer number of wonderful things you make. Don't you have a job aswell? Good grief.
and here is me thinking ..Oh dear she is going to introduce those stick insects one by one.... a +1 at a time.
Instead...its so striking that I think I might maybe kind sorta want to know how to do it....
You are so "ridiculously" clever, efficient and funny my dear :)Can I be like you when I grow up :) xx
aw! i love this one!!! the colors are great... you are so talented!
"not tall" is very this season.
grey and yellow. me likey.
lots and lots.
Please to be crossing fingers (in your sleep) 11am Friday morning. I has sewn so much I have dent in the end of my middle finger.
Word: repurla - you have to knit now.
It's beautiful! I really love the colors you used on this one.

The quilt is beautiful (such a lucky friend!), and your child is sooo adorable. I love your blog.
Tomorrow I will post something insecty that I made a while ago. Your fly and spider made me think of it and hunt it up.
They are putting new windows in my place, and even though it's a rental, I feel that one of my screens will have to sport a spider and web!
Very lovely, and a valiant effort by the small one. It's so hard being small when young. I think many of the Talls eventually think being a Small wouldn't have been so bad, though. ;)
another beauty! way to be ahead of the deadline. i'm super duper impressed about that.
Very nice, I am not a big fan of yellow, unless it's a sunflower. I really like that colour combo though, maybe I could do yellow.
And Tania, I have tagged you in one of those 10 things about you - if you want something to fill the time in while you are waiting for your friends pending arrival:)
Jacqueline
Oh, I really like the design of this quilt...I will consider it whilst thinking up my next quilt...even though I haven't finished other quilts. You really did an awesome job!
Lovely quilt! These wonderful creations would make perfect christmas gifts
It's stunning Tania!
