Now that all adults live in my house I'm not as likely to had the odd sock issue. However when my kids were little that was a different story. Your post made me smile and remember a book my kids love (and me too) call the Sock Snatchers...it's about what happens to the socks that disappear.

I am going to sound rather anal when I reveal this but I have NEVER worn socks that don't match- I could not cope with them feeling different on my feet...different thicknesses and lengths it would drive me to distraction!!!!
Chef on the other hand I don't think has ever worn a pair that DO match... I shake my head in disbeleif at how insane it would make me feel for the day...hmmmmmmmm I may start my own club for the anally retentive sock matchers....

Must say my own version is looking terribly bourge...

That sock monster looks cute. And just like everyone else (except my mother. Somehow my mother never has this problem. But those genes she somehow forgot to give to me) I have plenty of odd socks lying around here. So I already see some monsters growing!
